The Alchemy of Icaro:

Upcoming Exhibitions:

A Neon Renaissance

by Paulo Iarussi

A magical exhibit that invites you into a world where fantasy, folklore, and mysticism intertwine, and nothing is as it first appears. Using Iarussi’s signature “paint-skin” canvases, created from recycled, sun-dried wall paint, he transforms discarded materials into luminous works that blur the line between illustration and fine art.

Each piece holds layered symbols and hidden messages, offering both immediate beauty and deeper reflection. More than an exhibition, this collection is an act of renewal: turning waste into wonder, and inviting you to step into a dreamscape where every glance reveals something new.

Showing: 10 /10 / 25 - 11 / 09/ 25

Meet the Artist:

Paolo Irassui

Paolo Iarussi transforms what is discarded into something divine. His signature sun-dried paint-skin canvases are made entirely from recycled wall paint, collected from construction sites and forgotten garage cans. Through a patient process of drying and curing under the sun, he transforms waste into luminous surfaces for fine art, where paint is reborn as its own canvas.

For over fifteen years, he has refined a technique unlike any other in contemporary art. The paint-skin medium is both material and philosophy: a fusion of art and ecology that reimagines environmental waste as a vessel of renewal.

Through his nonprofit, Poetry Of I, Iarussi extends this mission by collecting leftover paint across Los Angeles to create sustainable art materials and awareness projects. His work stands as a bold statement of transformation—where waste becomes wonder, and color becomes consciousness.

Artist Statement

Echoes In The Wynde is a window into my mind’s eye as I explore the beauty of the world around me. They take the magic and the energy of moments and suspend them in time, echoing the emotion, vibrancy, and intention held through the meditative practice of kaleidoscopic digital collage. Each piece is an invitation to expand your mind into a new sanctuary and explore the beauty of the moment. These sublimation prints onto metal are a departure from my past work - often illustrative in nature. Created from textures I’ve captured in my nomadic wanderings. These echoes carry significant meaning to me as the most raw window into the otherworldly emotional landscape through which I process my emotions and the world around me.

My intention, as each echo finds its way into new homes, is for the pieces to accompany their keepers as worlds for escape, processing and grounding. They are designed to be as expansive as their keepers desire, displayed either together as one piece or separately. As these pieces echo out into new spaces, my hope is for us to feel united in a love for the beauty and meaning in life - and find strength together in community.
